TW: Mentions of Death and the Afterlife

A sign on the motorway pointed up. She knew it directed her onwards to the airport, but she believed it was designed to guide her to the heavens. To the overcast skies above. Her flight would be delayed today. She drove on.

At the long-term car park, an arrow pointed down, confusing her. These omens, for surely they must be so, puzzled her. When she died, would she be carried up or down? Would she simply stay here, to haunt the surface forever?

She got out of her car, locked it.

An arrow pointed right to the terminal. She clutched her passport in one hand, her phone in the other, and prayed to see her family one more time.
